Getting started
- Open the project created on first launch.
- Choose Driver, Enclosure, Port, Horn calc, or Overview.
- Use Edit on a card to change its values. Changes are saved automatically on the device.
- Use the folder button to create, switch, duplicate, or delete projects.
- Use the globe button to switch between English and Japanese.
Frequently asked questions
Will the calculated result exactly match the finished speaker?
No. Speaker Draft supports early design and dimensional planning. Materials, tolerances, damping, port-end conditions, placement, and driver behavior affect measured results. Confirm the final design with a prototype and measurements.
Where are my projects stored?
Projects are stored locally on the iPhone. The App does not require an account or use a proprietary cloud. Deleting the App may also delete its projects.
How can I try another design without losing the first one?
Duplicate the original project from the project list, then change the dimensions or design type in the copy. This keeps the first version available for comparison.
Why does a bass reflex port setup show a warning?
Some combinations of box volume, diameter, length, and target tuning do not produce a practical result. Adjust the diameter, box volume, or target frequency and review the warning shown by the App.
Does the horn calculator predict full frequency response?
No. It does not predict complete frequency response, SPL, impedance, group delay, or cone excursion. It is a simplified tool for organizing section dimensions, length, wavelength references, and build dimensions.
What devices and languages are supported?
Speaker Draft supports iPhone with iOS 17 or later. The interface is available in English and Japanese.
